The Greater Lincolnshire County Authority
The Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (GLCCA) is a new governing body that drives economic growth, transport, and infrastructure improvements in Greater Lincolnshire, formed through a devolution deal transferring powers from the government to local decision-makers. Established in 2025, the GLCCA integrates Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, and North East Lincolnshire, operating under a directly elected Mayor. It focuses on strategic planning, local skills training, and investment in the region, unlocking significant funding and greater local control over regional priorities.
The Great Exhibition is taking place on October 22nd, more details can be found here.
Share your views on Lincolnshire’s Recycling Centres*
You can help shape the future of the local household waste recycling centres in the county by completing a survey on the Let's talk Lincolnshire website.
Now's your chance to make a real difference by sharing your views about what is working or could be improved by 24 December, 2025.
Have you visited one of Lincolnshire’s 11 household waste recycling centres lately?
This year, the centres welcomed Community RePaint stores, including in Sleaford, where residents can pick up free paint, save money, and help cut down on waste.
At Tattershall, you’ll find the county’s first Reuse Shop, where pre-loved items get a second chance, and the Baby Bliss Baby Bank, supporting families by rehoming essential baby and toddler items while reducing waste. It’s a win for your home and the environment
Lancaster Bomber memorial sculpture installed in North Kesteven
The On Freedom’s Wings memorial sculpture of a Lancaster Bomber has been installed in situ alongside the A46 at Norton Disney.
Having been one of the initial funders in its early stages, the Council is delighted to see the fulfilment of the Bomber Gateway Trust’s aims, achieved through eight years of determination, passion, fundraising and voluntary endeavour.
The trust emphasises that the site (on private land) remains closed for construction, with work still to complete, but that it will be fully opened later in the autumn.
It is testament to the service of Bomber Command and will be a popular addition to the District’s proud aviation heritage offer for visitors at the Heart of Lincs. Follow: www.bombergatewaytrust.co.uk for updates.
Have Your Say: Community Pharmacy (Local Chemist) Survey*
Community pharmacies are one of the most accessible parts of the NHS. You can find them in supermarkets on the high street, and in local neighbourhoods and villages.
They do much more than provide medicines — they offer advice, treatment for minor illnesses, and support to help you stay healthy.
Please complete this survey to share your experiences of these and even if you haven’t used them, we’d still love to hear how you think they can help people stay healthy in our communities.
Your feedback will help raise awareness of pharmacy services, remove barriers to access, and shape future services so they work better for everyone in our communities.

Food waste collections coming to Lincolnshire
Residents are set to benefit from a new weekly food waste collection service beginning in 2026, as part of a government mandate to help households recycle more and reduce environmental impact.
You can see more here on the Lincolnshire County Council website- including details of the two food waste caddies households will receive and other information.
Food waste will be collected weekly, using dedicated vehicles, so there will be no mixing with other types of waste. Importantly, no kerbside waste in Lincolnshire currently goes to landfill. This food waste will be diverted from the Energy from Waste plant to a specialist anaerobic digestion facility, where it will be turned into biogas – a cleaner, natural energy source – and fertiliser used by local farmers.
